In practice, a single, small deviation in one parameter, without accompanying deviations in related values and without clinical symptoms, very often reflects individual variation or a transient effect of factors like dehydration, recent exercise, the time of day the blood was drawn, or even the stress of the blood draw itself.

When a result calls for an urgent, not a routine, consultation

Signals that don't warrant waiting for the next available appointment

Some CBC abnormalities, especially combined with worrying symptoms, justify contacting a doctor sooner than a standard appointment scheduled weeks out. This applies in particular to very low hemoglobin or hematocrit with accompanying shortness of breath, severe weakness, or a racing heart; a very low platelet count with unexplained bruising or bleeding; and a markedly reduced white cell count with accompanying fever, since that combination can point to a weakened ability to fight infection.
